"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Psalms 34:8
If someone found a treasure of great wealth, it would be hard to keep quiet about it. Or, what if a person won the State Lottery, would they keep silent? No, rather, if someone finds something worth shouting about, they do it! The word Gospel, in the original language, means "good news"; the good news of Jesus Christ is you can be free from worry, fear, condemnation, guilt, and yes that ugly word (sin). The Gospel brings peace, joy, and contentment that flows from the inside out rather than that which comes through outward circumstances. And while your trials may not disappear when you become a Christian, you will find an inward strength, which is not of yourself, but of supernatural origin.
If you have come to a point in your life that you asked the question.. "is there more to life than this?" or you just feel at the end of yourself, then maybe it's time to re-evaluate your life (what is important to you, what is the driving force of your life, what are your priorities). Yes, God is able to grant new beginnings, a new life, and even a new start!
- To have a new beginning, Jesus said you must be born again
John 3
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
- Confess your need for a Savior
Romans 3
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,
26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.Isaiah 64
6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousness are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.
7 And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities.
8 But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
9 Do not be furious, O LORD, Nor remember iniquity forever; Indeed, please look; we all are Your people!Acts 3
18 "But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord1 John 1
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
- Believe with your heart: Ask Jesus into your life! - become 'Born Again'
Romans 10
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."John 6
34 Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
35 And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
36 "But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.
37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
38 "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
- Rest in His finished work
1 John 1:8-9 2:1-2
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.Matthew 11
28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."Hebrews 4
9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
God knows your heart and your desire to know Him. If you wish to receive Jesus in your heart and have a brand new beginning, just say this little prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart and life. Take over all aspects of my life, all is yours! Change my life and make me the person You want me to be. Forgive all my sins and wash me clean for all things that displease You. Thank You for dying for me on the cross and granting me new life by faith alone in You. From this time forward, I want to follow You and be Your disciple."
"Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray - Amen."
Congratulations! You now have a new life, beginning, and start.
